Ruhr Ding: Schlaf
From May 5 to June 25, 2023, the Ruhr Ding: Schlaf will be the last part of the exhibition trilogy with which Urbane Künste Ruhr, under the artistic direction of Britta Peters, is touring the Ruhr region. After Ruhr Ding: Territorien 2019 and Ruhr Ding: Klima 2021, the decentralized exhibition 2023 will take place in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Essen, Witten and Gelsenkirchen.
Irrlichter-tours and educational program
Accompanying the exhibition Ruhr Ding: Schlaf, an extensive and free educational program will be offered during the entire runtime from May 5 to June 25, 2023. At all project locations you will meet competent contact persons from our team. In addition, the will-o'-the-wisp tours are offered on weekends and holidays.
Our trained art educators set out together with the visitors to explore the Ruhr Ding. On foot or by bike, various art locations are connected and their neighborhoods are roamed. The Irrlichter-tours invite visitors to view the art projects from different perspectives, to get to know unfamiliar places, to rediscover the familiar, and to discuss them together.
Bike tours
The bike tours last about 3 hours and take place, in Witten and Mülheim a. d. Ruhr every Saturday and Sunday and on holidays (18.5.2023, 29.5.2023, 8.6.2023) at 15:00.
If you have already registered with Ruhr Thing: Sleep for one of the will-o'-the-wisp tours and want to add bicycles, please use our reservation system for the will-o'-the-wisp tours.
